Neiter player improved, but Chiba dragged the pot with Ace-high and a stronger kicker. Tim Adams bubbled the final table in ninth place when his Ac-seven lost to Koichi Chiba's Ace-Queen. With nine to go, Seidel held the chip lead with over 12M and Foxen was second with 7M. Cash-game specialist Seth Gottlieb bagged the lead with over 5.2M, but Seidel and Jonathan Jaffe were close behind. Only 17 players were alive at the end of Day 1 after the money bubble burst late in the evening. The top 21 places paid out of this top-heavy event with the final two spots earning a seven-figure payout. WSOP Paradise Event #7 $50,000 Super High Roller NL attracted 137 entrants and a prize pool worth $6.85 million. Seven events are complete and the Main Event is underway.
The WSOP Paradise in the Bahamas chugged long. Seidel flew down to the Bahamas for the historic moment and it's fitting he won a high roller event at the inaugural WSOP Paradise. After patently waiting 14 years to return to the winner's circle in 2021 with his ninth bracelet victory, Seidel finally binked bracelet #10.
